Our CEO, Rick Jamieson, is the President of FMSI and is only the 2nd Canadian ever to be the President.

Based in Madison, Connecticut, USA, FMSI created the standardized part numbering system for brake friction, backing plates, drum shoes, and clutch facings as well FMSI informs members of scientific, engineering, technological, statistical and other relevant information .

ABS Friction Corp., is a member of the Brake Manufacturers Council. In fact we are one member of only six manufacturers on the friction committee.

The BMC keeps members updated with federal and state authority communications such as from NHTSA. As well the BMC introduced after years of industry debate the Brake Effectiveness Evaluation Procedure (BEEP).

ABS is one of only a handful of companies that is a certified manufacturer of BEEP approved products.
